What does it take to hire a foreigner?
It is necessary to formalize a process for the application for work authorization, with documents of the Brazilian company and abroad, which will be evaluated by Immigration and will become a temporary visa. The term of the visa is of up to two years, being able to be transformed into permanent by the end of this term.
According to our legislation, Brazilians have priority in vacancies and, therefore, companies must justify the need to hire foreign workers. For the company another requisite requirement is to have two thirds of employees who are Brazilian citizens.
On the other hand, the foreigner is required to prove schooling and professional qualification compatible with the activity to be performed in the company. This requirement does not apply to nationals of South America.
